Yes - there is no cost to become a member of the program. Free information sessions and personal assistance are also provided to approved migrant members.
2. Who can become a migrant member?
Migrants who hold South Australian State sponsored business migration visas: subclass 163 - 165, subclass 892 - 893, and subclass 132.
3. Who can become a business member?
South Australian businesses with business opportunities to promote to migrants including: business for sale, export, investment and regional business opportunities.

4. Can I use the service if I am on a skilled migration visa?
The Migration for Business Growth Program is specifically designed to assist newly arrived business migrants. The program is not available to skilled migrants but the Department of Immigration & Citizenship has produced a series of Beginning a Life in Australia booklets which can provide you with settlement information. 5. Where can I find information to help me find employment?
This program is aimed at helping business migrants to start and operate their own business. We do not provide employment assistance but there are other agencies that can assist you.
If you are holding a permanent residency visa go to Centrelink - http://www.centrelink.gov.au/internet/internet.nsf/home/index.htm .
If you are holding a state sponsored temporary visa eg. Subclass 475, please contact Immigration SA at http://www.migration.sa.gov.au/ .
6. What should I do if I want to start a business, but I am not eligible for the program?
You can contact the Business Enterprise Centres - you will find a list of these at http://www.beca.org.au/.
7. If I use the website to buy or start a business, will I qualify for permanent residency?
The business opportunities listed are not guaranteed to meet the qualification criteria for a permanent residence visa. We suggest you seek independent verification regarding the validity of an opportunity.
8. Can you help me to negotiate my business transaction?
No. We do not get involved with business negotiations and we recommend you use a reputable and qualified accountant, lawyer or business advisor, to assist you with your negotiations.
9. Can you help me find South Australian suppliers so I can start an export business?
Yes - if you know what type of product you are looking for we will research and provide contact details for you to follow up if available. We also hold biannual Exporters Expo's for you to meet with South Australian suppliers.
10. What is the difference between Migration for Business Growth, Business SA and Immigration SA?
The Migration for Business Growth program is funded by the State government and managed by Business SA.
Business SA is the South Australian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc.
Immigration SA is a business unit of the Department of Trade and Economic Development. They manage migration programs and issue state sponsorships for skilled and business migration.
11. How do I use the program if I don't speak very good English?
The program website has translations in both Mandarin and Korean. We also have full time Mandarin speaking staff available as well as access to translators for other foreign languages. Translations are provided for information sessions and events dependent on the audience. This means you can use the website and communicate with us in your preferred language!
12. How often do you hold free information sessions or events and how do I find out about them?
Members receive personal email invitations to our events and information sessions. Information sessions are held at least once a month and you can access our events calendar here - http://www.businessmigration-sa.com/migrant/news_events .
13. What kind of information do I have to communicate to you?
To become a migrant member we need your passport, visa and personal contact details. Email and phone number details are essential to access the program.
We ask you to let us know if your phone, email or address details change at any time and also if there are any changes to your visa status.
